Are you still open?
Yes we are! We're still posting orders every day we can. If your order is placed by noon, we'll post it the same day.
Some mail is taking a little while longer to be delivered than usual. If your order is delayed, please be patient.
If it's important for you to receive your order quickly, please ask us and we will do our best.
As of 12 April 2021 we will re-open for you to collect your orders and for apointments and Studio Sewing Sessions. Please note that you must book a time to collect your order becasue, depending on staff availability, we may not be at the Studio every day.
We're following all of the Government Guidelines.
We practise social distancing in the studio and we go in daily to prepare the orders. We drop them directly at the Royal Mail Sorting Office and the paperwork is e-mailed through to prevent any contact.

Is everything I see in stock?
Yes, everything on our web site is in stock. Occasionally someone else may have put the same items as you in their basket and check out sooner so it is no longer available when you check out.
If this happens we will let you know immedialtely and let you know, if we can, how soon the item will be back in stock.
Can I buy matching thread?
Yes, just click on the button on the fabric product page and we will add a 100m reel of Gutermann Sew All to your order in a colour that best matches your fabric.
If you require more reels, just increase the number in your shopping basket.
Please use the notes section of the checkout page to let us know which thread you would like to be matched if you are purchasing several differenct fabrics at once.
Can I come and sew?
Yes you can! Check for updates on the Coronavirus restirctions.
We have a dedicated sewing space with room enough for five to sew comfortably, with all the space you need to cut and sew your projects; overlockers, sewing machines, an iron and all the tools you need to finish your work.

Can I visit?
Yes you can! We now offer a pick-up service of you would like to come and collect your order yourself.
As soon as your order is ready we will send you an email and let you know whne you can come and pick it up. If the date or time isn't convenient, please let us know and we'll arrange another time for you.
As from 12 April 2021 you can make an appointment to come and see us in the Studio and to shop to your heart's content. Drop us an email and let us know whn you would like to come.

Are classes running?
Yes, they are, as soon as Coronavirus restrictions have been lifted.
We will have a full schedule of classes on our 'In The Studio" page shortly and we will be following the guidelines set out there to ensure that everyone has a safe and enjoyable experiance.
Can I order a sample fabric swatch?
We are happy to send swatches free of charge at any time, to help you chose your cloth. You can order up to five swatches before you make a purchase.
To order your swatches send an email to
firstname.lastname@example.org with your postal address and the fabric name of the swatches you would like, and we will get them out to you as soon as we can. Alternatively, you can go on to the product page of the fabric you'd like and order your swatch there.
I'm afraid we can only offer this free service within the UK.

What happens if I need to cancel My booking
If you have booked in to a Workshop or a Studio Sewing Session and are unable to attend due to illness please get in touch, as we have introduced the policy below.
Unfortunately if you are cancelling due to quarantine restrictions on returning to the UK after overseas travel we are unable to assist you and you will need to rebook your workshop once your 14 days have passed and you are Covid Free.
If you cancel within 48 hours of your booking you will receive 70% of the cost paid
If you cancel within 24 hours of your booking you will receive 30% of the cost paid
This is to be issued as a credit to be used within 3 months of the original booking date
If the UK goes into mandatory lockdown again, we will extend the expiry date to include this time period
