These Fork Pins are an invaluable addition to your sewing toolkit when sewing with linen, or indeed any fabric with a tendency to slip around and misbehave.
I use them to keep my checks aligned, my selvedges straight and my stripes matched. They work better than any other pinning method I've tried. Because they're joined at the top, they are less likely to allow your fabric to move around than two pins close together. I couldn't be without them.
Make sure that the pin points are inserted at the stitching line to ensure that the fabric will match at the seam or you can use them along the edges of your fabric to anchor it and keep it on grain while you're cutting out.
